Bughz-o-Keena | Malice And Hatred
have kept his heart purified so that there would be no impurity left when Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ sees to it. But it is a sorry state of affairs that the heart is fully contaminated with dirt and filth whereas the face which is viewed by creation is kept impeccable and immaculate. (Minĥāj-ul-‘Ābidīn, pp. 68)
Mayray dil say dunyā kī chāĥat miṫā ker
Ker ulfat mayn apnī fanā Yā Ilāĥī
(Wasāil-e-Bakhshish, pp. 78)
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
I want to come to you with a clean heart
The
Prophet of Raḥmaĥ, the Intercessor of Ummaĥ صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ
وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said,
‘لَا
يُبۡلِغۡنِيۡ اَحَدٌ مِّنۡ اَصۡحَابِيۡ عَنۡ اَحَدٍ شَيۡئًا فَاِنِّيۡ اُحِبُّ
اَنۡ اَخۡرُجَ اِلَيۡكُمۡ وَ اَنَا سَلِيۡمُ الصَّدۡرِ’
None of my companions should convey anything to me from
another because I desire to come to you with a clean heart.
(Sunan Abī Dāwūd, Kitāb-ul-Adab, vol. 4, pp. 348, Ḥadīš 4860)
‘Allāmaĥ Shaykh ‘Abdul Ḥaq Muḥaddiš Diĥlvī عَـلَيْهِ رَحْـمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ الۡـقَـوِی explaining the part of this Ḥadīš ‘None of my companions should convey anything to me from (opposing) another’ said: It means somebody’s carelessness, misdeed, bad habit, he did so and so or he said so and so, or someone was saying like this. (Ashi’a-tul-Lam’āt, vol. 4, pp. 83)
Explaining the second part of this Ḥadīš ‘I desire to come to you with a clean heart’, Ḥakīm-ul-Ummat Shaykh Muftī Aḥmad Yār Khān عَـلَيْهِ رَحْـمَةُ الْـمَـنَّان has stated: It means that there would be no malice and no hatred towards anyone in the heart.
