1. If those who have adopted asceticism for the pleasure of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ and have no family or no responsibility for it, promise Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ that they would not save wealth, they are bound by the promise not to save wealth. If they save anything, it is like backing out of the promise, indicating the weakness of their faith. If such people save anything, they will deserve to be punished.
2. If anyone receiving charity showing destitution and displaying trust in Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ wants to carry on with it, it will be impermissible for him to save any charity because this is fraud. Any charity he receives after he has saved some charity beforehand will be Haraam and impure.
3. If one is aware that his Nafs will encourage him to spend surplus money on sinful things or that he spends it on some habitually committed sin, then it is Fard for him to refrain from sins. Since he is accustomed to misusing surplus money, it is mandatory for him to spend all of his surplus money on righteous [lawful] acts.
4. If someone confronting starvation is so impatient that he complains against Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ – though inwardly without uttering any word – or commits impermissible acts like theft and begging etc., it is mandatory for him to save as much money as he needs. If he is a daily wage-earner living
