Special Address by Khalifa of Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat at Ijtima-e-Ghausia in Mirpur Khas

A special Ijtima-e-Ghausia is being organised on Wednesday, 23 September 2026, at Muhajir Colony Ground, Mirpur Khas, Sindh, featuring a gathering dedicated to the life, religious services and spiritual rank of Shaykh-ul-Mashaikh, Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani, Ghaus-e-Azam. At this spiritual gathering, Khalifa of Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat, Maulana Haji Ubaid Raza Attari Al-Madani, will deliver a special address.

Ijtima-e-Ghausia is a gathering dedicated to remembering the life and religious services of Ghaus-e-Pak, Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani. At these gatherings, Islamic scholars highlight Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani’s religious and spiritual efforts in serving Islam.

Since the 5th century AH, the distinguished spiritual rank and miracles of Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani have continued to be mentioned and acknowledged by the righteous saints of every era. The saints of Islam have not only recognised his distinguished rank of sainthood but have also taken pride in tracing their spiritual affiliation to Shaykh Jilani.

From east to west and from north to south, countless beloved servants of Allah who have lived throughout history, as well as those who are present today, regard Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani as their spiritual guide. Among the Islamic spiritual masters, his miracles have been particularly acknowledged, and the saints of the Ummah recognise his distinguished spiritual rank.

Every year, the Urs of Ghaus-e-Azam is commemorated on 11 Rabi-ul-Thani. On this occasion, Islamic scholars and preachers organise gatherings known as Giyarhween Sharif and Ijtima-e-Ghausia, where the scholarly, spiritual, religious, social and educational services of Shaykh Jilani, along with accounts of his miracles and his spiritual rank, are presented in a befitting manner.

The second-largest Ijtima-e-Ghausia in Sindh will also be held at Muhajir Colony Ground, Mirpur Khas, under the auspices of Dawat-e-Islami on 23 September 2026. At this spiritual gathering, Maulana Haji Ubaid Raza Attari Al-Madani Qadiri, a devoted follower of Shaykh Jilani and a Khalifa of Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat, Maulana Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadiri, will deliver a special address.
