Special Mehfil-e-Baghdad for Visitors to Najaf, Karbala and Baghdad

A special Mehfil-e-Baghdad is being organized at the International Madani Markaz Faizan-e-Madina for visitors travelling to Iraq, particularly those who visit Karbala, Baghdad, Najaf, Samarra, Kadhimiya, Mada'in, Basra and other cities of Iraq to pay their respects at the sacred sites associated with the Companions, Ahl-e-Bayt and pious saints.

The annual Mehfil-e-Baghdad features scholarly discussions on the honour and services of the Companions and Awliya, the concept of Wilayah in Islam, and the proper etiquette of visiting the shrines of the pious.

A special feature of this Mehfil is the guidance of Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat, Maulana Muhammad Ilyas Qadri, who explains the etiquette of visiting sacred places in the light of the teachings of the Beloved Prophet ﷺ.

The programme also highlights the outstanding religious services and distinguished status of Pir-e-Pir, Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani رحمۃ اللہ علیہ, among the great saints of the Ummah, with scholarly references and discussion.

Along with providing religious and moral guidance to visitors travelling to Iraq, the Mehfil offers an insightful discussion on the concept of Wilayah and the virtues of the Awliya in the light of the Qur’an and Hadith.
