Para 18 - قَدْ اَفْلَحَ

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

24.11

اِنَّ الَّذِیْنَ جَآءُوْ بِالْاِفْكِ عُصْبَةٌ مِّنْكُمْؕ-لَا تَحْسَبُوْهُ شَرًّا لَّكُمْؕ-بَلْ هُوَ خَیْرٌ لَّكُمْؕ-لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ مَّا اكْتَسَبَ مِنَ الْاِثْمِۚ-وَ الَّذِیْ تَوَلّٰى كِبْرَهٗ مِنْهُمْ لَهٗ عَذَابٌ عَظِیْمٌ(11)

Kanz-ul-Irfan

Those who brought a grave accusation[1] were a group among you. Do not consider it evil for yourselves; rather, it is better for you.[2] For every man among them there is that which they earned of sin. And he who carried the burden of the greatest part of it, for him there is extreme punishment.

Commentary

The “grave accusation” refers to the accusation that was levelled against the Mother of the Believers, Lady ʿĀʾishah رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا.

Here, those who avoided slander are being told that they should not consider this accusation evil for themselves, rather, avoiding it is better for them, for Allah will reward them, and He will reveal the virtue and innocence of the Mother of the Believers, Lady ʿĀʾishah رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا.
