Surah Al Imran Ayat 81-82 Translation Tafseer

Para 3 - تِلْكَ الرُّسُلُ

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

3.81-82

وَ اِذْ اَخَذَ اللّٰهُ مِیْثَاقَ النَّبِیّٖنَ لَمَاۤ اٰتَیْتُكُمْ مِّنْ كِتٰبٍ وَّ حِكْمَةٍ ثُمَّ جَآءَكُمْ رَسُوْلٌ مُّصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَكُمْ لَتُؤْمِنُنَّ بِهٖ وَ لَتَنْصُرُنَّهٗؕ-قَالَ ءَاَقْرَرْتُمْ وَ اَخَذْتُمْ عَلٰى ذٰلِكُمْ اِصْرِیْؕ-قَالُوْۤا اَقْرَرْنَاؕ-قَالَ فَاشْهَدُوْا وَ اَنَا مَعَكُمْ مِّنَ الشّٰهِدِیْنَ(81) فَمَنْ تَوَلّٰى بَعْدَ ذٰلِكَ فَاُولٰٓىٕكَ هُمُ الْفٰسِقُوْنَ(82)

Kanz-ul-Irfan

Remember when Allah took an oath from the prophets: “I shall grant you the Book and Wisdom, then the ˹esteemed˺ Messenger will come to you confirming your Books so you must believe in him, and you must help him." He (Allah) said, “˹Dear Prophets!˺ Have you affirmed ˹this command˺ and accepted My heavy covenant upon this condition?” They said, “We have affirmed.” He (Allah) said, “Then be witnesses for one another and I am with you among the witnesses.”[1] So whosoever turns away after this, then those very people will be disobedient.

Commentary

The magnificent characteristics of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم are mentioned in this verse. Scholars have written books in commentary of this verse, and from it, they have deduced many pearls of wisdom related to the greatness of the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.
