Para 4 - لَنْ تَنَالُوا

سورة ال عمران

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

3.128-129

لَیْسَ لَكَ مِنَ الْاَمْرِ شَیْءٌ اَوْ یَتُوْبَ عَلَیْهِمْ اَوْ یُعَذِّبَهُمْ فَاِنَّهُمْ ظٰلِمُوْنَ(128) وَ لِلّٰهِ مَا فِی السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ مَا فِی الْاَرْضِؕ-یَغْفِرُ لِمَنْ یَّشَآءُ وَ یُعَذِّبُ مَنْ یَّشَآءُؕ-وَ اللّٰهُ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِیْمٌ۠ (129)

Kanz-ul-Irfan

˹Dear Beloved Prophet,˺ you are in no way associated with this, ˹if Allah wills,˺ He will grant them the chance to repent or, ˹if Hewills,˺ He will punish them as they are oppressors.[1] And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. He forgives whomsoever He wills and punishes whomsoever He wills. And Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Commentary

When ʿĀmir ibn Tufayl and his people deceptively martyred seventy companions who were sent to teach the religion, the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم intended to pray for the destruction of the oppressors. Allah Almighty instructed the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم to leave the matter to Divine Decree; if He wills, He shall grant them the ability to repent or He may punish them. This is an example of Divine advice for the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.
