The Dream of Sayyidunā ꜤAbd al-Muṭṭalib رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ
The great lover of the Prophet, Imam Jalāl al-Dīn al-Suyūṭī al-ShāfiꜤī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه, who saw the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم 75 times in a wakeful state, wrote:
Sayyidunā ꜤAbd al-Muṭṭalib رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ (the grandfather of the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم) narrates:
Once, while I was sleeping near the Ḥajar-al-Aswad, I saw a terrifying dream that left me distressed. I then went to a Qurayshi fortune-teller and told him that last night, I saw a tree in my dream whose height reached the sky and whose branches spread across the East and the West. The light coming from the tree was seventy times brighter than the light of the sun. The Arabs and non-Arabs were prostrating before it, and its greatness, radiance, and height were continuously increasing. At one moment it would disappear, and the very next moment it would reappear.
