I make the intention of Sunnah iꜤtikāf.
Dear Islamic brothers! Whenever you enter a mosque, you should make the intention for I'tikaf if you remember, so that you continue to receive the reward of I'tikaf as long as you stay in the mosque. Remember! Eating, drinking, sleeping, or having Suhoor and Iftar in the mosque—even drinking Zamzam water or blessed water—is not allowed according to Shariah. However, if you have the intention for I'tikaf, all these things become permissible as part of it. The intention for I'tikaf should not be just for eating, drinking, or sleeping; instead, its purpose must be to please Allah Almighty. It is mentioned in "Fatāwā Shami" that if someone wishes to eat, drink, or sleep in the mosque, they should make the intention for I'tikaf and perform the remembrance of Allah Almighty for a while; after that, they may do as they wish (meaning they can now eat or sleep).
