Where do we start in stopping all of this? With our homes.
If every mother, every father, every grandfather, every grandmother, every uncle, and every elder brother starts with reforming their children, nephews, nieces, grandsons, granddaughters, and family members in their own homes, then tell me, where will this indecency and immorality come from in society? The root problem begins here.
Firstly, the elders of the household are not practicing Muslims.
They do not perform Salah.
They do not encourage their children to pray.
They do not know how to recite the Quran correctly.
They lack religious knowledge and do not teach their children either.
Many years have passed, they are even married, but they still do not know the rulings regarding purity and impurity.
They do not have knowledge of Islamic beliefs, nor do they teach them to their children.
Then there are many individuals who are pious. They perform Salah, observe fasts, do pious deeds, and possess religious knowledge. However, they do not guide their family members towards this path. All of us present here in the masjid should reflect upon ourselves: how many of us have family at home, like sons, brothers, or nephews? We have come to the masjid, but did our brother, nephew, or son pray? We do not pay attention to this. Believe me! If those who regularly offer the five daily prayers in the masjid were to bring the men of their households along, the number of worshippers in our masājid would increase many times over.
In the blessed month of Ramadan, masājid become full, and there is a significant increase in the number of worshippers. Who are these people? They are from among us—someone's brother, someone's son, someone's nephew, someone's father, or someone's uncle starts coming to the masjid. If each
