Madinah.” Then Quṭb-e-Madīnah رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه responded firmly, “No! Go back. Obey your mother’s command. اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه You will return to Madinah and settle here.”
ꜤĀrif Qādirī Ziyāˈī says:
My heart did not want to leave Madinah, but due to my mother’s command and the instruction of my spiritual guide, I returned to Pakistan unwillingly. اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه! After some time, Allah Almighty’s grace descended, my Shaykh’s dua was accepted, the Merciful Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم bestowed his favour upon me, and I was able to settle in Madinah permanently.[1]
MasꜤūd Aḥmad Qādirī Ziyāˈī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه was also a murīd of Sayyidī Quṭb-e-Madīnah رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه. He narrates a similar event:
After performing Hajj for the second time, I travelled to Madinah with the intention of living there permanently. I gained permission from my father before leaving home, and once I arrived in Madinah, I found work and began living there. After some time, I received a letter from my father instructing me to return to Pakistan. This caused me great concern. I would visit my Shaykh, Sayyidī Quṭb-e-Madīnah رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه, every night after ꜤIshāˈ. So, I met him and explained my situation, and he replied, “Son, Go back quickly! اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه You will return and settle here. It is necessary to obey one’s parents.”
MasꜤūd Aḥmad says:
I followed my Shaykh’s advice and returned to Pakistan. اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه! Through the dua’s of my Shaykh (Sayyidī Quṭb-e-Madīnah رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه), I was blessed with the opportunity to perform Hajj two more times, and eventually I was granted permanent residence in Madinah.[2]
