Quṭb e Madinah’s Lofty Qualities
Indeed, Allah has appointed an angel at my grave who has been granted the ability to hear the voices of all creation. Until the Day of Judgement, whoever sends Ṣalāt upon me, that angel presents to me his name and his father’s name and says, “So-and-so, son of so-and-so, has sent Ṣalāt upon you.”[1]
May Allah Almighty grant us the ability to recite Ṣalāt in abundance. The great leader of the Sunnis and lover of the Prophet, Sayyidī Quṭb-e-Madīnah رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه gave the following advice to his followers:
*Recite as much of the holy Quran as possible every day.
*Sending Ṣalāt upon the Merciful Prophet صصَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is beloved to every Muslim and is the essence of a believer’s faith, so send Ṣalāt upon him at all times.
*Recite as much as you can daily from Dalāˈil al-Khayrāt.[2]
Dalāˈil al-Khayrāt is a beautiful book containing many forms of ṣalawāt. It is accepted in the blessed court of the Merciful Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, and there are great blessings in reciting it. It is also included among the daily litanies (awrād) of the Qādiriyyah Razawiyyah ꜤAṭṭāriyyah spiritual chains. Make an effort to recite Dalāˈil al-Khayrāt every day and you will attain many blessings.
اٰمِیْنْ بِجَاہِ خاتَمِ النَّبِیّٖن صلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہ ِوَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
The final Prophet صصَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said:
اَفْضَلُ الْعَمَلِ اَلنِّيَّۃُ الصَّادِقَۃُ
