How to Prepare for the Hereafter?
6. Use miswak after waking up.
7. Waking up from sleep during the night and performing Tahajjud is a great blessing.
8. Our Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم stated: "The best prayer after the obligatory prayers is the night prayer."[1]
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Dua for Salvation from Humiliation on the Day of Judgement
According to the schedule of the weekly Sunnah-inspired gathering of Dawat-e-Islami, the "Dua for salvation from humiliation on the Day of Judgement" will be memorised. That Dua is:
اَللّٰھُمَّ لَا تُخْزِنِیْ یَوْمَ الْبَاْسِ وَلَا تُخْزِنِیْ یَوْمَ الْقِیَامَۃِ
Translation: O Allah! Do not humiliate me on the day of hardship and do not humiliate me on the Day of Judgement.[2]
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Method of collective accountability (72 Pious Deeds)
The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has said, “Pondering ˹over the Hereafter˺ for a moment is better than 60 years of worship.”[3]
Let’s make good intentions before filling in the Pious Deeds booklet:
1. To please Allāh, I will hold myself to account through the Pious Deeds booklet and encourage others to do the same.
