Look here! We have been commanded to honour the guest! What does this honour mean? Which actions should we perform for our guest so that it is called "honouring" them? Regarding this, the Holy Quran mentions the matchless hospitality of a great host.

The Unique Hospitality of Sayyidunā Ibrāhīm عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام

Sayyidunā Ibrāhīmعَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام  is a Prophet and Friend (Khalīl) of Allah Almighty. He is called Abū al-ayfān (meaning the father of guests). It is mentioned about Sayyidunā Ibrāhīmعَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام  that he was very hospitable. It was his blessed habit that he would never eat alone. When a guest came, he would eat with them. If a guest did not come, he would go out himself to find someone, bring the guest back, and eat with them.

Once, some angels of Allah Almighty visited the home of Sayyidunā Ibrāhīm عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام in human form. Since they were in human form and were guests, Sayyidunā Ibrāhīm عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام did not recognize them. What happened next? Allah states:

فَرَاغَ اِلٰۤى اَهْلِهٖ فَجَآءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِیْنٍۙ(۲۶) فَقَرَّبَهٗۤ اِلَیْهِمْ

Then he went towards his family and brought a fattened, ˹roasted˺ calf. So he placed it near them,[2]

This means that when these angels arrived, they were in human form. Sayyidunā Ibrāhīm عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام did not even recognize them. Despite this, he did not ask for their names or where they came from. He quickly made them sit in
