    Speech Intentions

    The Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said:  اَفْضَلُ الْعَمَلِ اَلنِّيَّۃُ الصَّادِقَۃُ – “The best of deeds is a sincere intention.”[1]

    2. I will sit respectfully.

    3. I will avoid being lazy.

    4. I will listen with the intention of self-improvement.

    5. I will try to convey what I learn to others.

Such is his love for the scholars that he says: “By Allah Almighty, without them we are of no use at all. If we remain at their feet, then اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه, a path to salvation will surely emerge.”[2]

He further says: “The scholars do not need us; rather, we need the scholars.” And while advising his followers, he said: “If you move away from the feet of
