5. When eating meat, the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم did not lower his head towards it.[1] Rather, he صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would lift it towards his mouth and bite it.[2]
6. The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم preferred the meat from the arm and shoulder of a goat.[3]
7. The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم disliked eating kidneys because they are close to urine.[4]
8. The beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم severely disliked eating the spleen, but he did not declare it forbidden.[5]
9. The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would use his blessed fingers to wipe the plate clean and say: “There are greater blessings in the last portion of the food.”[6]
10. Among fresh fruits, the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم loved melon and grapes.[7]
11. He صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم ate melon with sugar and bread.[8]
12. Sometimes, the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم ate melon with fresh dates.[9]
13. He صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would use both hands. Once, he was eating ripe dates with his right hand and placing the seeds in his left hand. A goat passed by, and he gestured towards it with the seeds. The goat began
