Shaykh Aḥmad Ṣāwī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه reports from some saints of Islam that the one reciting this durūd once receives the reward of reciting durūd 600,000 times.[1]
5. Nearness to the Distinguished Rasool
One day somebody came [to the blessed court of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم], and the Noble Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم made him sit in between himself and Sayyidunā Abū Bakr Ṣiddīq رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ. The respected companions رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهُم were surprised as to who that honoured person was. When he had left, the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, ‘When he recites durūd upon me, he does so in these words.’[2]
