    Through such remarks, they seek inner satisfaction and pleasure that comes from being admired. They reveal their knowledge and deeds so that people respect and praise them, and they begin to enjoy the sweetness of being honoured and famous.

    When they begin to receive acceptance and fame, their nafs desires to make their knowledge and deeds even more apparent to people so that their honour increases further. So, they seek additional means of publicising their good deeds and intellectual capabilities. They are no longer content with the fact that Allah Almighty is aware of their actions and will reward them; rather, they feel delighted when people praise them and are unsatisfied with the praise they receive from their Lord.

    The nafs knows well that when the people become aware that a certain individual has abandoned his desires, avoids doubtful matters, spends generously in the way of Allah Almighty, exerts great effort in worship, weeps out of fear of Allah Almighty and love for the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, participates in religious works, works tirelessly to rectify others, travels frequently in Madani Qafilahs, controls his tongue, eyes, and stomach, delivers dars from Faizan-e-Sunnat daily, is punctual in attending Madrasa-tul-Madina for adults, waking others for Fajr, and inviting people in the neighbourhood to righteousness—then those people will praise him abundantly.

    They will look at him with honour and respect, consider meeting and seeing him a means of blessing and a treasure for their Hereafter. They will humbly request him to visit their homes or shops, to supplicate for them, to drink tea with them, or to accept their invitation for a meal. They will regard following his advice as a source of goodness in both worlds.

    Wherever they see him, they will serve him and greet him with salam. They will desire to eat and drink his leftovers, compete to receive gifts from him or anything that has touched his hands, kiss what he gives them, and kiss his hands and feet. They will address him with titles such
