is grateful for My blessings whereas the forgetful forget Me.[1]
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
O lovers of the Awliyā! Now let’s listen to some accounts of the pious servants who loved Allah Almighty.
Sayyidunā ꜤUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ narrates: The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم once saw Sayyidunā MuṣꜤab bin ꜤUmayr رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ coming with a ram hide wrapped around his back, The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: Look at this person whose heart Allah Almighty has illuminated. Undoubtedly, I saw him with his parents who would feed him the best food and give him the finest drinks. He is in the condition that you see because of his love for Allah and His Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم which you can see.[2]
The Lover will be with the Beloved
A Bedouin came to the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and asked: O Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم! When will the Judgement Day be? The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم replied: What preparations have you made for it? He saaid: I have not accumulated many [Nafl] prayers or [Nafl]fasts, however, I love Allah Almighty and His Messenger صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. The Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: ‘اَلْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ اَحَبَّ’ A person will be with the one whom he loves.[3]
Sayyidunā Anas رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ ,who narrated this hadith, said: Since I embraced Islam, I never saw the Muslims as happy about anything as they were upon hearing this.[4]
