    2. When engaging in conversation, there should be a proper objective, and one should always speak according to the capacity and nature of the listener.

    3. Abstain from foul language and shameless talk at all times. Refrain from verbal abuse, and remember that insulting a Muslim without a SharꜤī justification is definitively forbidden (ḥarām qaṭꜤī).[1] Paradise is forbidden for the one who speaks shamelessly. The Holy Prophetصَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم  said: Paradise is forbidden for the person who engages in obscene speech (shameless talk).[2]

Supplication for the first morsel of food and for every morsel

In accordance with the schedule of the weekly Sunnah-inspired congregation of Dawat-e-Islami, we will now memorise a dua. This week, we will learn what to recite when taking the first bite of food. We can also read this for every morsel thereafter.

    For the first bite:

    یَا وَاسِعَ الْمَغْفِرَۃِ

    O The Vastly Forgiving!

The supplication to be recited upon every morsel is:

    یَا وَاجِدُ
