The Final Ummah

(3) Third Wisdom: Following the path of the righteous

Dear Islamic brothers! Why was the Islamic Ummah made the final Ummah? Listen to another wisdom behind this: Allah Almighty says in the noble Quran:

یُرِیْدُ اللّٰهُ لِیُبَیِّنَ لَكُمْ وَ یَهْدِیَكُمْ سُنَنَ الَّذِیْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ وَ یَتُوْبَ عَلَیْكُمْؕ-وَ اللّٰهُ عَلِیْمٌ حَكِیْمٌ(۲۶)

Allah wills that He states His commands to you and informs you of the ways of those who preceded you, and He turns to you with His mercy—and Allah is All-Knowing, Most-Wise.^{^[1]}

The scholars explain:

Allah Almighty willed that, by making this Ummah the final nation, He revealed to them the noble Quran, through which He clarified the ways, manners, habits, and conduct of the righteous people before them, so that this Ummah may walk the path of the pious, repent sincerely, and be granted acceptance of their repentance by Allah Almighty.^{^[2]}

Dear Islamic brothers! There are many more divine wisdoms behind this Ummah being the final Ummah, and we have been blessed to hear a few of them.

If only we would reflect on these wisdoms, if only we would recognise our worth as a Ummah, and begin living our lives accordingly!
