Remaining Sunan and Etiquettes of Using the Right Hand
1. In Islam, the right side is considered blessed because on the Day of Judgement, the scroll of deeds of the righteous will also be in this hand.[1]
2. Sayyidatunā ꜤĀ’isha Siddīqa رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ states: The Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم preferred to begin all his affairs from the right side.[2]
3. Eat with your right hand. Eating, drinking, taking, and giving with the left hand is the method of Satan.[3]
4. When offering water to someone, the jug is usually in the right hand while the glass is in the left, and glasses are given to others with the left hand. If one needs to take both a jug and a glass, then we tend to take them with both hands at once, which is incorrect. First, take the jug with your right hand, then hold the jug in your left hand so that your right hand becomes free, and now take the glass with your right hand.
