Book Name:Behtar Kon?
muazzin, Sayyidunā Bilāl رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ, to climb onto the roof of the Holy KaꜤbah and call the Azan. Accordingly, Sayyidunā Bilālرَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ carried out the command. (Sayyidunā Bilālرَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ was from Abyssinia, and he had spent a long time as a slave in Makkah).
Upon seeing him calling the azan from the roof of the Holy KaꜤbah, some of the chieftains of Makkah began to speak inappropriately about him. While these chieftains of Makkah were speaking ill, Sayyidunā Jibrīl عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم presented himself before the Beloved Prophetصَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and informed him about their remarks. The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم then summoned all of them and asked: "Have you said such and such things about Bilal?" They all admitted, "Yes, we have said these things." At this juncture, the following verse of the Holy Quran was revealed in Part 26, Surah al-Ḥujurāt. Allah Almighty states:[1]

O people! Indeed We created you from a man and a woman and We made you factions and tribes that you may recognise one another. Indeed the most honourable of you in the Court of Allah is the most pious one among you. Indeed Allah is All-Knowing, Most-Aware.[2]
ꜤAllāma Qurṭubī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه, commenting on this blessed verse, states:
In this verse, Allah Almighty admonished the people of Makkah for boasting about their lineage, desiring abundance of wealth, and mocking the poor. He explained that all human beings are the progeny of Prophet Ādam عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم and Sayyidatunā Ḥawwā
