Book Name:Gaflat Ka Anjam
Unfortunately, the practical state of Muslims is becoming more and more distressful. We will travel to various countries, obsess about earning abundant money, but avoid walking a short distance to offer prayer in the masjid. We spend our money freely when it comes to renovating our homes, however we evade spending anything in the way of Allah Almighty. To the extent that some do not pay zakat, despite it being obligatory upon them. We take various measures to increase our wealth, yet are lazy when it comes to good deeds.
Remember, there is still time! We should wake up from our stupor of heedlessness immediately and repent at once, before death comes and takes us from our bright homes and comfortable beds to the insect-filled, dark grave. Then, we will be left pleading to our Lord for a chance to return to the world so we may worship Him in abundance, spend all our wealth in His way, and offer all five daily prayers in congregation, in the first row of the masjid, with the opening takbīr.
Yet, screaming and pleading at that time will be of no use, just as the noble Quran has already informed us in verses 10 and 11 of Surah al-Munāfiqūn:
And spend ˹in Our way˺—from the sustenance We have provided you—before death comes to one of you and he cries, “My Lord! Why did you not grant me respite for a short term so that I would give charity and be from the righteous.” Allah will certainly not grant a soul respite when its appointed time arrives—and Allah is aware of all that you do.[1]
