Gaflat Ka Anjam

Book Name:Gaflat Ka Anjam

the religious environment of Dawat-e-Islami is a great bounty when it comes to gaining good company. اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه Through the blessings of this religious environment, countless Muslims have left a life of sin and become people of righteousness.

Try to avoid bad company as much as possible, as this will not only destroy our worldly life but our Hereafter too. There are many Aḥādīth in which we are commanded to avoid evil company.

Let us listen to two Aḥādīth of the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم in this regard and try to act upon them.

Avoid an evil friend, for he is like a segment of Hell. Love for him will not benefit you, and he will not fulfil his promise to you.[1]

Avoid a wicked companion, as you will be identified by him [this means, a person is known by the company he keeps].[2]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                      صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

(3) Reading about the lives of our pious predecessors

Another method of leaving behind a life of heedlessness and sin, becoming steadfast in righteous deeds, and living one’s life in accordance with the noble Quran and Prophetic Sunnah is to read about the blessed lives of our pious predecessors and follow in their footsteps. This is because they always worshipped Allah Almighty and worked for the Hereafter.

One of the great personalities whose knowledge, practice, conduct and life we can read about, is the Proof of Islam, Imam Muḥammad al-Ghazālī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه.
