Book Name:Gaflat Ka Anjam
plans of how he would eat nice food, have the best clothes made, and take many servants.
In short, his newfound wealth caused him to become engrossed in thoughts of comforts and luxuries, making him completely heedless of His Lord that night. In the morning, preoccupied with these thoughts, he left home and happened to pass near a graveyard, where he saw a man kneading mud on top of a grave to make bricks.
Seeing this, the veil of heedlessness was immediately removed from his sight, and tears began to fall from his eyes. He thought about how people might take mud from his grave to make bricks too, and how his grand houses and clothes would be left behind, so attaching his heart to the gold brick would waste his life in heedlessness. He thought to himself that if he was to attach his heart to anything, it should be to Allah Almighty, so he left the gold brick and took on a life of abstinence.[1]
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Dear Islamic brothers! There is no doubt that wealth and material possessions are things that make a person heedless of Allah Almighty. This story is a lesson for those who are always greedy for wealth, those who forget about lawful and unlawful in their pursuit of money, and who only seek comfort in wealth and material possessions.
Keep in mind that money can be used to purchase medicine, but not cure. Money can buy friends, but not loyalty. One can live a good life with money but it cannot be used to turn away death. A person can gain fame with money but not respect. Money can be used to buy nice houses, cars and clothes, but by spending it on wrong things one does not please Allah Almighty and gain the intercession of His beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.
