Tilawat e Quran Aur Musalman

Book Name:Tilawat e Quran Aur Musalman

Right of the Holy Quran upon the Ummah

Under the above-mentioned verse, it is stated in on page 247 of volume 3 of Tafsīr irāt al-Jinān:

From this verse, we learn that one of the rights of the Holy Quran upon the Ummah is that they follow this sacred book and refrain from disobeying its commandments. Unfortunately, in the current era, Muslims are in a very dire state in regards to acting upon the Holy Quran. Today, instead of reciting this sacred book on a daily basis, Muslims have kept it in their homes wrapped up in beautiful covers and at their business places as a means of blessings. Even those who recite it neither recite it correctly nor do they make efforts to understand what Allah Almighty has mentioned for them in this sacred book.

History is a testament that as long as Muslims held this sacred book ins high esteem and strictly followed its rules and commandments, their grandeur was acclaimed all over the world and the hearts of non-believers would tremble as soon as they would hear the names of Muslims. However, since Muslims have stopped acting upon the commandments of the Holy Quran, they are being disgraced.[1]

Motivation of acting upon the commandments of the Holy Quran

Allāmah IsmāꜤīl Ḥaqqī رَحْمَۃُ اللہِ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ states:

The purpose of the Books of Allah Almighty is for one to fulfil their requirements, not to merely recite them in a sequence with the tongue. This is like the example of a king who sends a letter to one of the governors of his kingdom and orders him to build a palace for him in a certain city. But when the governor receives the letter, he does not have the palace built as instructed in the letter, but instead reads the letter every day. So, when the king goes there and does not see a palace built, then certainly the governor will face consequences
