Maryam رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا was. Her virtues are explicitly mentioned in the sacred traditions. She will be blessed in Paradise to be the spouse of the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.

Her greatness is further demonstrated by the marvels associated with her. Even while carrying Prophet ꜤĪsā عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم in her womb, marvels began to appear through her. Let us delve into these extraordinary occurrences.

Tree of Maryam and the stream of Jibrīl

Shaykh al-Hadith ꜤAllāmah ꜤAbd al-Musṭafā al-AꜤẓamī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه, states:

Prophet ꜤĪsā عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم was born without a father from the pure womb of Sayyidah Maryam رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا. When the time of his birth approached, Sayyidah Maryam رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا moved away from the populated area and sat alone under a dried date palm tree. It was here, beneath this tree, that Prophet ꜤĪsā عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم was born.

Since Prophet ꜤĪsā عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم was born without a father from the pure and chaste Sayyidah Maryam رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا, she became deeply worried and immensely sorrowful. Fearing the slander and taunts of people, she refrained from returning to the settlement and instead stayed in a desolate place beneath the dried date palm tree, where there was no provision of food or drink.

Suddenly, Angel Jibrīl عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم descended and struck the ground with his heel, causing a stream to flow. At the same time, the dried date palm tree miraculously turned lush and green, bearing ripe fruit. Angel Jibrīl عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم then addressed Sayyidah Maryam رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا and spoke to her, saying:
