The Blessed Life of Prophet ꜤĪsā عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم
who exhibited saintly marvels. Allah Almighty bestowed her with numerous special qualities.
Let us take a moment to listen to a brief introduction of this remarkable mother.
Introduction to Sayyidah Maryam رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا, Mother of Prophet ꜤĪsā عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم
Prophet ꜤĪsā’s عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم blessed mother was Sayyidah Maryam رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا. The name Maryam means worshipper and servant.[1] Her father’s name was ꜤImrān, and her mother was named Ḥannah رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهُمَا.[2] Sayyidah Maryam رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا was a female saint from birth.[3] Notably, she is the only woman mentioned by name in the holy Quran.[4]
Sayyidah Maryam رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا is one of the leaders of the women of Paradise. The beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, stated, “The leaders of the women of Paradise are four: Maryam, Fāṭimah, Khadījah, and Āsiyah رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهُنَّ.”[5]
The Reviver of Islam, the Imām of Ahl al-Sunnah, Imām Aḥmad Razā Khān رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه writes:
Even after the birth of Prophet ꜤĪsā عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم, Sayyidah Maryam رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا remained chaste and unmarried. She will be raised in the same state and will enter Paradise as such. Furthermore, she will be honoured with marriage to the noble Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم in Paradise.”[6]
