Book Name:Dawat e Islami Aur Islah e Muashrah
O beloved صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم! Continue to advise and preach as this increases the spiritual insight of the believers, as well as strengthening their faith and certitude.[1]
Dear Islamic brothers! We learn that one should never pass on the opportunity to invite people to goodness and to prohibit evil. اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه! This action will only result in benefit for a person, never in loss.
A Foundational Goal of Islam is to Reform Society
Dear Islamic brothers! One of the foundational roles of Islam is to improve society. Allah Almighty states in the first verse of Surah Ibrāhīm:
الٓرٰ کِتٰبٌ اَنۡزَلۡنٰہُ اِلَیۡکَ لِتُخۡرِجَ النَّاسَ مِنَ الظُّلُمٰتِ اِلَی النُّوۡرِ ۬ۙ
Alif-Laam-Ra. (These are individual letters of the Arabic alphabet; Allah and His Messenger know their exact meanings.) (This Quran) is a Book that We have sent down upon you (O Beloved) that you may bring forth people from darknesses into light.[2]
So, we come to know that an important reason of the Quran being revealed was to guide the people in society to the correct path. It was revealed to take people out of the dark pits of disbelief and towards the light of faith; to guide them towards righteousness; and to eradicate ignorance and propagate knowledge.
The Quran helps people improve their character and mannerisms as well as encouraging the obedience and worship of Allah Almighty. Those who possess love for this world and greed for wealth are taught to prepare for the Hereafter. In essence, the Quran was revealed as a source of guidance to take people out of darkness and into light.[3]
