بِسْمِ اللہ Ki Barkatein

Book Name:بِسْمِ اللہ Ki Barkatein

and Majesty! I shall bless whatever بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْم is recited upon.”[1]

Begin every permissible act with بِسْمِ اللہِ

O those who love Allah’s Messenger! The pure speech of Allah, the Quran, begins with بِسْمِ اللہِ. This teaches us to begin our actions and tasks with بِسْمِ اللہِ.

The scholar Aḥmad al-Ṣāwī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه said:

The Quran begins with بِسْمِ اللہِ, so the servants of Allah follow this and begin every good action with بِسْمِ اللہِ themselves.[2] Hadith also encourage us to recite بِسْمِ اللہِ at the beginning of (good and) important actions.[3]

Wisdom in the 19 letters of بِسْمِ اللہِ

Imam Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه writes:

There are 19 letters in بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْم, and 19 angels are appointed to administer punishment in the Hellfire. It is hoped that through the blessings of each letter in it, the punishment of each angel will be distanced.
