Inferiority Complex

O those who love Allah’s Messenger! Remember, mankind did not create mankind. It was Allah, the Creator and Owner of all creation, who made them. When explaining what form mankind was created in, Allah Himself stated in Sūrah wa al-Tīn:

لَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا الۡاِنۡسَانَ فِیۡۤ اَحۡسَنِ تَقۡوِیۡمٍ ۫(۴)

Translation from Kanz al-Īmān: “We have indeed created man in the best form.”^{^[1]}

In commentary of this verse, we find the following in Tafsīr Ṣirāṭ al-Jinān:

Allah took an oath by the fig, the olive, Mount Sinai and the city of Makkah. He then explained how He indeed created man in the best of forms, made their limbs proportionate and made them stand straight instead of on all-fours like an animal. He also fashioned them to not eat directly with their mouths, but to instead hold food in their hand and raise it to their mouths. He further adorned them with knowledge, understanding, intellect, manners and the ability to communicate verbally.^{^[2]}

How to acquire recognition of Allah

Dear Islamic brothers, if we think about how we were created and then compare ourselves to the rest of creation, it becomes clear as day that Allah has granted us amazing bounties and blessings. He granted us the outward bounties of beauty, proportion and appearance, as well as inward bounties of good character and other virtuous qualities.
