Madani pearls of wisdom about preventing the wastage of water
Dear Islamic brothers! Let us listen to ways we can avoid wasting water, extracted from Method of Wuḍū, a booklet written by the Amir of Ahl al-Sunnah. Before this, let us listen to two hadith of the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم:
1. “There is no goodness in using an excessive amount of water during wuḍū, and this action is from Satan.”[2]
2. The Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم saw a man performing wuḍū and said, “Do not waste, do not waste.”[3]
* Using an excessive amount of water of waqf at free public facilities to perform wuḍū is haram.[4]
