However, remember, even in this situation, one should be cautious in using social media only as per required, lest it be the case that based on this, Satan causes us to fall into unnecessary or incorrect usage of social media.

Now the question arises as to how the responsible Islamic brothers of Dawat-e-Islami can benefit from social media and serve Islam through it? In this regard, let us listen to some important benefits of social media in terms of how it can aid religious work.

Serving Islam through social media

1.   Means of calling to righteousness: 

It is stated on page 52 of the monthly magazine “Faizan-e-Madinah”, November 2017 edition: Positive usage of social media can become a means of earning numerous virtuous deeds. A large number of people can simultaneously be presented with the call to righteousness within a very short span of time. Moreover, a bayan can be delivered to various people in various locations at the same time.

2.   Meetings for religious activities: 

One positive use of social media is that despite being at different physical locations, meetings can easily be conducted for the betterment of the religious activities.

3.   Defending Islam: 

Social media can be used to convey authentic and reliable teachings about Islam to the masses, and instantly eradicate misconceptions regarding Islam.

4.   Ease in keeping in touch: 

Social media has made it very easy to stay in touch and convey messages to each other. Through social media, one can convey his message to anywhere in the world within a few seconds.^[1] 

5.   Sunnah-inspiring speeches: 

Sunnah-inspiring speeches and short clips of the leader of Ahl al-Sunnah, Mawlānā Ilyās ꜤAṭṭār al-Qādirī دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ and other muballighin [preachers] are watched and listened to through social media.

6.   Programs full of knowledge and wisdom: 

One can watch the short clips of the faith-enlightening, informative and spiritual programs of Madani Channel through social media. Moreover, live broadcasts of Madani Channel can also be heard and watched through social media.

7.   Updates of Dawat-e-Islami:
