2. The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم also said:
Whoever spent the morning in obedience to his parents, two gates of Paradise are opened for him. If one of his parents are alive, then one gate of Paradise is opened. Whoever spent the morning in disobedience to his parents, two gates of Hell are opened for him. If one of his parents are alive, one gate of Hell is opened for him.[1]
3. A man asked, “O Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم ! What right do parents have over their children?”
The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم replied, هُمَا جَنَّتُكَ وَنَارُكَ “They are your Paradise, and they are your Hell.”[2]
4. A man came to the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and asked, “Who is most deserving of my good service?”
The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم replied, “Your mother.”
The man asked, “Then who?”
The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم replied, “Your mother.”
The man asked, “Then who?”
The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم answered again, “Your mother.” The man asked again, and the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم answered, “Your father.”[3]
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
