custody.” The noble Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم turned his attention towards him, smiled, and ordered that he be given some wealth.’[1]
3. Labeed Bin A’sam performed magic on the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم , but the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم did not exact any revenge on him. He also pardoned the non-Muslim woman who poisoned him.[2]
4. During the Battle of Uhud, a piece of the beloved Prophet’s blessed tooth was martyred [broken] and his face was also wounded, but the Holy Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said nothing to them except: اَللّٰهُمَّ اهۡدِ قَوۡمِيۡ فَاِنَّهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ (i.e. ‘O Allah Almighty guide my people, for they do not recognise me’).[3]
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
The beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم did not take revenge for cruelty
Our Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would treat everyone with love and affection, never becoming angry for anything personal, but when Shar’i boundaries were violated and the commandments of Allah Almighty were disobeyed, then signs of anger were seen on his blessed face.
Umm-ul-Mu`mineen, Sayyidatuna ‘Aaishah Siddiqah رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهَا said:
I never saw the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم taking revenge for the injustice done to him; unless the prescribed limits of Allah Almighty
