words of our beloved Prophet  صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم . These words have the fragrance of the blessed saliva of the leader of all the Prophets  صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم . These words are filled with the sweetness of the sacred tongue of Mustafa  صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم . These words remind us of the manner of speech of the pride of all creation صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم    

For this reason, the noble scholarly devotees of the blessed Prophet  صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم , in order to fill their hearts with the blessed Ahadith and increase their love for the Messenger of Allah  صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم , would learn the science of Hadith with passion and love and spread it to others.

In this regard, when we observe the personality of A’la Hazrat, Imam of Ahl al-Sunnah, Imam Ahmad Raza Khan  رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه , we find him to be an expert Mufti, an unparalleled scholar of the religion who is not only a devotee of the Prophet but the Imam of the Prophetic devotees.  Therefore, A’la Hazrat being ‘A’la Hazrat’ necessitates that he possesses complete mastery in the science of Hadith. When we read the biography of A’la Hazrat رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه we find that he was truly an expert in the science of Hadith.

The biography of A’la Hazrat رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه and three aspects of the science of Hadith

When we ponder over this subject in detail, concerning the way in which A’la Hazrat رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه had expertise in the science of Hadith, three aspects primarily become evident to us:

1.   What kind of cognitive and technical expertise A’la Hazrat رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه possessed in the science of Hadith. Meaning, Ala Hazrat’s proficiency in understanding the categorisation of Ahadith according to the noble scholars and their relative grading, his understanding of the meaning and purport of the Ahadith, and his ability to infer matters from them.
