Imam Ahmad Raza Khan رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه states, “Learning how to recite the Qur'an with correct pronunciation to the extent that one letter is clearly distinct from the other is obligatory on every person. Without it, prayer is absolutely invalid.”[1]

He further states, “Undoubtedly, it is obligatory upon every individual to learn tajwid to the point that the reciter can pronounce letters correctly from their correct places of articulation according to the rules of pronunciation and refrain from reciting them incorrectly.”[2]

Mufti Amjad ‘Ali A’zami رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه mentions, “It is wajib for the one who cannot pronounce letters correctly to make every effort day and night in pronouncing them correctly.”[3]

The department of Madrassa-tul-Madina for adults (Baalighan)

Dear Islamic brothers, if we also desire to recite the Quran according to the prescribed rules with correct articulation—and this is something we should desire—then remain affiliated with the religious environment of Dawat-e-Islami and actively participate in its religious works.

اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه  One department of Dawat-e-Islami which is responsible for spreading the teaching of the Quran worldwide is known as ‘Madrasa-tul-Madinah Baalighan’.

Madrasa-tul-Madinah Baalighan takes place in various locations, such as masjids, educational institutes, markets and homes. Here, mature Islamic brothers are taught Madani Qa’idah and the noble Quran with correct articulation free of cost. The Quran is taught
