Nematon ka Shukar Ada Karnay ka Tariqa

Book Name:Nematon ka Shukar Ada Karnay ka Tariqa

The mother of the believers, Sayyidatuna A’isha رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهَا states that the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم entered his house and saw a piece of bread on the floor. He picked it up, wiped it, ate it, and said, “O A’isha (رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهَا), show honour to a good thing, for if the blessing of this (i.e food) departs from people, it never comes back.”[1] Meaning, if sustenance leaves a nation due to their ungratefulness, it will not return.

Dear Islamic brothers, similarly, the clean, drinkable, leftover water of another brother should not be thrown away. It is reported:سُؤْرُ الْمُؤمِنِ شِفَاءٌ  meaning, there is a cure in the leftover of a believer.[2]  Not only is there hope of gaining a cure, but the love, brotherhood and comradery between you will also increase. You will be safe from pride and develop humbleness, humility and will be forgiven for your sins. The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم   said, A sign of humility is for a Muslim to drink the leftover water of his brother. Whoever does so will be raised by 70 ranks, 70 of his sins will be forgiven and he will be granted 70 good deeds.[3]

May Allah Almighty grant us the ability to be grateful to Him in times of ease and hardship, and to honour food and refrain from wastage.
