Hazrat Ayesha Ki Ilmi Shan

Book Name:Hazrat Ayesha Ki Ilmi Shan

Arabian poetry than Sayyidatuna ‘Aaisha رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهَا. She رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهَا had great expertise in the science of medicine, and how to administer cure to patients.”[1]

Concerning the same Sayyiduna ‘Urwah رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ, ‘Allamah Zurqaani رَحْمَةُ اللهِ عَلَيْه has narrated: “Once, in a state of awe, he رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ humbly said to Sayyidatuna ‘Aaisha رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهَا: “O my beloved mother! You possess the privilege of being the wife of the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, and the daughter of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddeeq رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ. (Due to this privilege) Whatever expertise you have attained in the field of fiqh (jurisprudence) is not surprising to me. Likewise, it does not surprise me as to how and why you have memorized so much Arabian poetry. I know you are the daughter of the leader of the believers, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddeeq رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ (and he was an expert in the art of poetry, so due to him you have gained expertise in this art). What I am surprised about is how and from where you attained your great amount of knowledge in the science of medicine.”

Having heard this, Sayyidatuna ‘Aaisha رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهَا lovingly began to pat her nephew’s shoulders, and said: “O ‘Urwah! The beloved of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم frequently became unwell in his last blessed days. Arab and non-Arab doctors would prescribe various medicines for him. I would then treat the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم with these medicines.” (By virtue of doing so, I became expertly proficient and skilled in medical issues.).[2]

سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه! Dear Islamic brothers! You just heard about the excellent memory and great insight Sayyidatuna ‘Aaisha رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهَا possessed! She continued to memorize the medicines which were prescribed to treat the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, until she developed profound expertise in the science of medicine. Undoubtedly, the mercy of Allah Almighty granted her the ability to achieve all
