رَبِّ اَرنِی - ‘O my Lord, Reveal Your beatific vision to me!’ Allah Almighty then stated in reply: لَنْ تَرٰنِیْ - ‘You will not be able to see Me.’

But when the matter is concerning the final Prophet of Allah Almighty, the master of creation, the unmatchable Messenger صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم - Allah Almighty then called His beloved and allowed him to see, without the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم even expressing this desire from his blessed lips.

Imam Ahmad Raza Khan رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه, a great devotee of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, writes poetically about this point by saying:

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                 صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Special Bestowals upon the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم !

Dear Islamic brothers! Allah Almighty has mentioned some aspects of the Me’raj, in the Holy Quran. In the 15^th Juz, the first verse of Surah Bani-Israel, He states:

سُبْحٰنَ الَّذِیْۤ اَسْرٰى بِعَبْدِهٖ لَیْلًا مِّنَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ اِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ الْاَقْصَا الَّذِیْ بٰرَكْنَا حَوْلَهٗ لِنُرِیَهٗ مِنْ اٰیٰتِنَاؕ-اِنَّهٗ هُوَ السَّمِیْعُ الْبَصِیْرُ(۱)

Glory be to Him Who took His bondsman by the night from the Sacred Mosque (the Ka'bah) to Al-Aqsa Mosque around which We have placed blessing, in order that We may show him Our great signs. Indeed, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.

In Khazaain-ul-‘Irfan, ‘Allamah Sayyid Na’eemuddin Muradabadi رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه writes in explanation of this verse: ‘The Me’raj is a Prophetic miracle of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, and a great blessing from Allah Almighty. From this event, the closeness to Allah Almighty possessed
