Mufti Ahmad Yar Khan رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه has said: (The last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah) are sufficient in times of troubles and grief because the person who recites them at night will remain protected from troubles and if by chance troubles do come, Allah Almighty removes them; or it is sufficient to recite them in place of all other invocations or the person who recites these verses in Tahajjud Salah, for him they will be sufficient in comparison to reciting a lot of the Holy Quran.^[1]

Another wisdom behind the Night Ascension

10.   To begin with, Allah Almighty created the Noor of His Beloved صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم from His own Noor and kept the Noor of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم His special proximity. When the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم arrived into this world in human form, he desired that rank, therefore he attained comfort and peace from the place of دَنیٰ فَتَدَلّٰی

Another wisdom behind the Night Ascension

11.   This wisdom has also been mentioned that he صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was blessed with Me’raj in order to be taught the Azaan. ‘Allamah Ibn Hajar ‘Asqalani رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه wrote: Sayyiduna ‘Ali رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ said, ‘When Allah Almighty intended to teach the Azaan to His Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, Sayyiduna Jibra`eel عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم brought a mode of transport called Buraaq and he صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم mounted it.’^[2]
