Another wisdom behind the Night Ascension
8. Allah Almighty ordered Sayyiduna Musa Kaleemullah عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم to cast down his staff on the ground. When the staff was cast down on the ground, it turned into a snake, then Allah Almighty commanded him to hold it. When it was held, it turned back into a staff. All these things were shown so that when Sayyiduna Musa عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم confronted the sorcerers of Pharaoh (Fir’awn), he عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم would not be overcome by the awe of that situation, but could instead compete with full determination.
On the Day of Judgement, the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم will intercede, rather, he عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم will start the intercession. Allah Almighty made the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم behold the wonders of the universe, levels of Paradise and Hell. In addition to this, many other great signs were shown so that the awe of the terrifying Day of Judgement does not overcome him and he صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم intercedes with full determination and independence.[1]
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

9. Another wisdom behind the
Night of Me’raj was to honour the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم with all types of revelations. One type of revelation
entails that Allah Almighty communicates directly and this is the best type of revelation.
On the night of Me’raj, Allah Almighty directly spoke to His Beloved Prophet
صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ
وَسَلَّم.
It is stated in verse 10 of Surah Al-Najm, part 27:
فَاَوْحٰۤى اِلٰى عَبْدِهٖ مَاۤ اَوْحٰىؕ(۱۰)
