What do you say? Will Allah Almighty accept my repentance?’ I recited the following Ayah (Ayah 222 of Surah Al-Baqarah, part 2) in reply:

اِنَّ اللّٰهَ یُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِیْنَ وَ یُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِیْنَ(۲۲۲)

Indeed, Allah loves those who repent abundantly and loves those who purify themselves.

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                                                 صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic brothers! You have heard of how great and unique the Holy Quran is, which is full of guidance! When the person who was intoxicated with the splendour of the world, who had love for songs and music, who had the habit of drinking wine and committing sins listened to the blessed verses of the Holy Book, consisting of the mention of the Hereafter, it pierced his heart. A real revolution took place in his life and he repented of his sins.

Undoubtedly, it is the blessing of the Holy Book of Allah Almighty that hearts shake and tears stream from the eyes when its recitation is heard. Why should this not be the case, as it is the beautiful and truthful book of Allah Almighty; the One Who revealed it is the Lord of the worlds, the one who brought it is Ruh-ul-Ameen, that is, Sayyiduna Jibra`eel عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام and the one to whom it was revealed is a Mercy to the worlds صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, the Ummah for which it has been revealed is the best of all Ummahs, the language in which it has been revealed is eloquent Arabic, the month in which it was revealed is the most esteemed of all months, the night when it was revealed is the most superior night, and the places where it was revealed are the most exalted of places.
