Shari’at, vol. 3, p. 583, part 16) In another narration, it is mentioned: Whosoever cuts his nails on Fridays, mercy will come and sins will depart. (Umda-ul-Qaari, vol. 15, p. 90)

*   The summary of the method of cutting the nails of the hand is as follows: Starting with the nail of the index finger of the right hand, cut the nails in order until the small singer, but leave the thumb. Now, begin with the nail of the small finger of the left hand and cut them in order up to and including the thumb. In the end, cut the thumb nail of the right hand. (Ihya-ul-Uloom, vol. 1, p. 193)
