Book Name:Hasad ki Tabahkariyan Or Ilaj

It is stated in part 5, Surah an-Nisa, verse 54:

اَمْ یَحْسُدُوْنَ النَّاسَ عَلٰى مَاۤ اٰتٰىهُمُ اللّٰهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهٖۚ-

Or do they envy people (i.e. Muslims) over that what Allah has bestowed upon them from His Grace?

[Kanz-ul-Iman (translation of Quran)] (Part 5, Surah An-Nisa, verse 54)

It is stated in another place:

وَ لَا تَتَمَنَّوْا مَا فَضَّلَ اللّٰهُ بِهٖ بَعْضَكُمْ عَلٰى بَعْضٍؕ-

And do not long for things by which Allah has given superiority to some of you over others.

[Kanz-ul-Iman (translation of Quran)] (Part 5, Surah An-Nisa, verse 32)

Dear Islamic brothers! You have just heard that in the Holy Quran, Allah Almighty has commanded us to refrain from this repugnant act of jealousy. Every Muslim ought to avoid this bad habit. The Blessed and Beloved Rasool صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has also instructed us to avoid this deadly disease. Listen to four blessed Ahadith in this regard:

1.   Jealousy damages faith in the same way that aloe (i.e., a coagulated juice from a bitter tree) spoils honey. (Kanz-ul-‘Ummal, Kitab-ul-Akhlaq, vol. 3, p. 186, Hadith 7437)

2.   Do not transgress when you feel jealousy, discard suspicion, and when you sense an evil omen (about any work) then do it, having trust in Allah Almighty. (Al-Kamil fi Du’afa-ir-Rijal, vol. 5, p. 509)

3.   ‘لَا يَزَالُ النَّاسُ بِخَيۡرٍ مَالَمۡ يَتَحَاسَدُوۡا People will remain in a state of goodness as long as they are not jealous of each other.’

(Al-Mu’jam-ul-Kabeer, vol. 8, p. 309, Hadith 8157)
