Arrogance and its Signs
6. Salat upon the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم to attain intercession
اَللّٰہُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ اَنْزِلْہُ الْمَقْعَدَ الْمُقَرَّبَ عِنْدَكَ یَوْمَ الْقِیَامَۃِ
The Greatest Rasool صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has stated: The one who recites this Salat upon me, my intercession will become Wajib for him.
(Attargheeb Wattarheeb, vol. 2, p. 329, Hadith 31)
جَزَی اللّٰہُ عَنَّا مُحَمَّدًا مَا ھُوَ اَھْلُہٗ
It is narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn-e- ‘Abbas رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُما that the Noble Rasool صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has stated, ‘For the reciter of above supplication, seventy angels write good deeds (in his account) for 1000 days.’ (Majma’-uz-Zawaid, p. 254, vol. 10, Hadith 17305)
2. An easy way to spend every night in worship
The holy Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, ‘If anyone recites the following Du’a three times at night it is as if he has found Layla-tul-Qadr.’ Here is the Du’a: (Tareekh Ibn Asakir, vol. 19, p. 155, Hadith 4415)
لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ الْحَلِيْمُ الْكَرِيْمُ
سُبْحٰنَ اللّٰهِ رَبِّ السَّمٰوٰتِ السَّبْعِ وَ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْم
Translation: There is none worthy of worship except Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ Who is ‘حَلِيۡم’ (Most Forbearing) and ‘كَرِيۡم’ (Possessor of all excellences). Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ is free from every fault, Rab of the seven skies and Rab of the
magnificent ‘Arsh.
