the people; if you come across such a person, adopt his company, serve him; through his blessings, Allah Almighty will make you from among the righteous also.

4.   Ghaus-e-A’zam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه states: The fourth is that individual whom the angels remember with awe, hence, it is stated in a Hadith: Whosoever gained knowledge, acted upon it, and taught it to others, he is called great by the angels. Ghaus-e-A’zam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه further states: He is the one who possesses Ma’rifah of Allah Almighty, he is the one to whom Allah Almighty grants knowledge of His signs; precious pearls of knowledge are placed in his heart, he is a favourable person, he is accepted, Allah Almighty granted him guidance, Allah Almighty granted him advancement in proximity to Himself, opened his chest for knowledge, made him into one who invites towards righteousness and who warns from punishments, he is upon guidance himself and grants others guidance; he is the true representative of the Prophets عَـلَـيْـهِمُ الـسَّـلَام.

Ghaus-e-A’zam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه gives the following advice to his disciples, admirers and all devotees of the Prophet: If you find such a person, then hold on to him! Do not oppose him! Do not have hatred towards him! Do not stay away from him! Avoid not obeying him and not acting upon his advice, for there is safety in following such a sincere representative of the Noble Prophets عَـلَـيْـهِمُ وَالـسَّـلَام who acts upon his knowledge and spreads the call towards righteousness. (Sharah Futooh Al-Ghayb, p. 353)
