    honour upon the seekers of knowledge that even the elites don’t obtain.

    By virtue of knowledge one gains respect

    A great ‘Aalim of this Ummah, a highly knowledgeable Mufassir of the Quran, Sayyiduna Abdullah Bin Abbas رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُما who was the son of our Prophet’s uncle, said: Sayyiduna Sulayman عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام was given a choice to choose between knowledge, wealth and kingdom. He chose knowledge. By blessings of choosing knowledge, the bounties of wealth and kingship were also bestowed upon him by Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ. (Tareekh Ibn-e-Asakir, Raqm 2662, Sulayman Bin Dawood, vol. 22, p. 275)

    Dear Islamic brothers! We’ve learnt that knowledge is superior to money, assets, rule and kingship; because the survival of wealth and rule depends on knowledge. (Ameer Ahl-e-Sunnat ki Deeni Khidmat, p. 119) We have also learnt that by blessings of knowledge of Deen, one is bestowed with respect, wealth, status and even kingship and the throne in the world.

    Knowledge is superior to wealth

    O devotees of the Prophet! Verily, the knowledge of Deen has a lot of excellences and importance but in the current era our condition regarding this is really miserable. Our hearts are possessed with the desire for wealth and respect in such a way that we spend our money to make more money but we have no money to spend on the process of attaining the never-ending wealth of the knowledge of Deen. We lavishly spend our money on sinful acts but we don’t spend our money to spread the knowledge of Deen. Remember! Knowledge is superior to wealth because this is the inheritance of prophets عَـلَـيْهِمُ السَّلَام and the base of the religion.

    Hence, it has been reported on the authority of the leader of the faithful, Sayyiduna Ali Murtada رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ: Knowledge is superior to
