Let us repent!
* Shab-e-Bara’at is a night of greatness and elevation.
* On this night, Allah Almighty showers down His immense benevolence.
* He removes sins.
* He sends down a shower of mercies.
* He opens the doors of generosity.
* He protects those who ask of him, from calamities, hardships and afflictions.
In today’s Bayan, as well as hearing about Shab-e-Bara’at, we will listen to the virtues and blessings of repentance, the importance of repentance which has been mentioned in the Quran and Hadith, the requirements of sincere repentance, and we will also listen to some accounts of those who repented. If only we are fortunate enough to listen to the entire Bayan with good intentions.
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Dear Islamic brothers! The renowned and esteemed scholar of the 10th century Hijri, ‘Allamah Ali Qaari رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه states: There are four names of Shab-e-Bara’at:
لَیْلَـۃُ الْمُبَارَکۃ ۔1 (I.e. The night of blessings)
لَیْلَـۃُ الْبَراءَۃ ۔2 (i.e. The night of salvation)
لَیْلَـۃُ الصَّک ۔3 (i.e. The night of documentation)
لَیْلَـۃُ الرَّحْمَۃ ۔4 (i.e. The night of mercy)
